Shannah Asher, Web Designer and Creeator of Asher + Rose Studios.
From Fort Nelson to Vancouver and now to Dawson Creek, Shannah is our proud BC Girl through and through! Her story starts back in 2008 when she owned a music studio. She built her website with Wix of course. This was when Wix was a much smaller DIY-focused builder which was exactly what Shannah needed at the time. She perfected her skills by lending a helping hand to friends and family with their websites. Flash forward 16 years later Shannah is a Legend Wix Partner, a top performer in Wix Marketplace and is working towards her Wix Studio Certificate.
While Shannah’s full-time work is in web design, she couldn’t fully leave her previous job working in Mental Health and Addictions. She currently helps women fleeing domestic violence and/or sexual assault as a part-time job.

Shannah’s love for creativity and connecting with like-minded individuals fueled her to turn creating websites into a business. She never would have guessed the passion and euphoria building sites give her. From becoming a mentor to Sheryl to starting a collaborative business of women web designers around the world. The world is truly limitless to Shannah. Shannah’s favourite type of website is function-forward! Creating a visually appealing purposeful website where each element has reason to be there and takes the visitor through an experience.
Shannah has two adorable rescue pitties that she is obsessed with. Piper and Brodie are her worlds. Her dream is to eventually move to a home with lots of land to open up a rescue for senior dogs to live out the rest of their days in peace. When she isn’t with her pups during her time off (which is limited), she can be found zooming on her motorcycle.

If she could travel anywhere in the world she would explore Thailand.
Her business goal is to bring human connection to the digital world.
Shannah’s advice for people trying to break into their industry is;
Stay focused on what you know best. More services don’t mean better. Quality over Quantity is key.
Don't be afraid to say no to a potential lead, and always trust your gut in a consult, it's better to lose the deal than to have a potentially negative experience working with someone.
Lastly, don't be afraid to network and grow your little community of like-minded people.
